BAFTAs 2012: Gilded History

The red carpet at the 2012 BAFTAs – the British Academy Film Awards – had an air of British history traipsing along it.

Many a lady seemed to call upon the past when selecting her gown.

Whether the reference was to the Middle Ages, the Elizabethans or to the Edwardians, it seemed to capture the personality of the modern woman wearing the gown.

Imagine that.

She really could have lived in another time - a simpler time - seen here in simply elegant Celine.
